Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with butter or non-stick cooking spray.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, lemon juice, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and all-purpose flour. Toss until the apples are evenly coated.
Spread the apple mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
In another mixing bowl, prepare the crumble topping. Combine the rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt. Mix well.
Add the cold cubed butter to the dry ingredients. Using your fingers or a pastry cutter, work the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apples in the baking dish.
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the crumble topping is golden brown and the apples are tender and bubbling.
Remove the apple crumble from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
Enjoy your delicious homemade apple crumble!
