Ingredients:

  • ½ cup passionfruit pulpĀ (about 6 passionfruits)

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • 3 large egg yolks

  • 1 whole large egg

  • ¼ cup unsalted butterĀ (cubed)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juiceĀ (enhances the flavor)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extractĀ (optional)

Instructions:

1. Prepare a Double Boiler

Fill a saucepan with about 1 inch of water and bring to a gentle simmer.

Place a heatproof bowlĀ over the saucepan, making sure the bottom doesn’t touch the water.

In the heatproof bowl, whisk together passionfruit pulp, sugar, egg yolks, whole egg, and lemon juice.
