š Ingredients:
2 large chokos, peeled, cored & sliced into wedges
2 cups water
1 cup white sugarĀ (adjust to taste)
1 tsp pear essenceĀ (or vanilla essence as a backup)
1 tsp lemon juice
1 cinnamon stick or Ā½ tsp ground cinnamon
Optional: 2ā3 cloves or a pinch of nutmeg for warmth

Prepare the chokos
Peel and slice the chokos into pear-like wedges or chunks. Remove the inner seed if mature.
Boil the chokos
In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Add the sliced chokos and simmer for 10ā15 minutes until just tender (not mushy!).
Add flavour and sweetness
Add sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and pear essence to the pot. Stir gently. Simmer for another 10 minutes to let the chokos absorb the flavours.
Cool and serve
Allow the mocked pears to cool in the syrup ā theyāll take on more flavor as they sit. Serve warm or chilled with custard, ice cream, or a dollop of cream.
