Ingredients:
4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed
½ cup granulated sugar (or honey for a natural option)
1 tbsp fresh lime juice (adds a tangy kick)
Pinch of salt
Optional: a few fresh mint leaves for garnish
Instructions:
1. Freeze the Watermelon
Place the cubed watermelon on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze for at least 2-3 hours, or until completely frozen.
2. Blend It Up
Add the frozen watermelon cubes to a high-speed blender or food processor. Add sugar (or honey), lime juice, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth and creamy. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides a couple of times.
3. Adjust Consistency
If your sorbet is too thick, add a splash of cold water or extra lime juice to help blend. The texture should be like soft-serve.
4. Freeze Again (Optional)
For a firmer sorbet, transfer the blended mixture to an airtight container and freeze for 1–2 more hours.
5. Serve & Enjoy!
Scoop into bowls or cones, garnish with mint if desired, and serve cold. 🍧
Tips:
Try mixing in strawberries or raspberries for a berry twist.
Swap lime juice for lemon if you prefer a slightly different tang.
For adults, a splash of vodka or rosé makes this a fun frozen cocktail treat.
